Look at the very end of the video. To me it looks like he ran into that chick in the water. wtf? also lol? _________________ Today is a chance to become a greater person than the person we were the day before.
it kind of looks like it, but I think the chick is farther back because you can pause it and she is jumping up as his front leg would be running into her. Pretty funny looking though
I don't know about you guys, but that crash was pretty weak. I take worse crashes than that on a regular day riding. _________________ 2010 Watson Hybrid

Daniel Powers is an awesome rider. He goes huge! But ya, he clearly didn't hit that girl and the slam was not that big. _________________ rally to the wake
First off this thread wasnt about whether or not it was the worst crash of all time. I think that video was just the worst crash of a particular event. I honestly thought it looked like he ran into a girl and thought it was pretty lame.
If you don't like a thread, you don't need to be a pr!ck about it. Move on and don't comment. You get a certified a$$hat of the year award. I remember when this forum had respectful people on it.
Sometimes I wonder why I even bother. _________________ Today is a chance to become a greater person than the person we were the day before.
Wakeboarder3780, Wow, with over 1,000 posts I'd figure you've learned by now that people on the internet can never be taken seriously. I may have to revoke your internetting license.

Take it easy bro, I'm sorry to hate on you. You made a misleading thread title and a bonehead observation about what was actually a fairly interesting video, though nothing spectacular. I was pointing out that the video itself wasn't the disappointment, as Craig-R had suggested ("gayest video of all time"). The disappointment/waste of our time came from your misleading title and bonehead observation. Sorry for being a prick, but you should probably just acknowledge that you made a shitty thread and move on. _________________ rally to the wake
explain how the title of this thread was misleading
and how is my observation "bonehead" because you don't agree with it? I still think he ran into that chick with his wakeboard. I'm sorry you were coddled as a child and everyone that disagrees with you is now viewed by you as a bonehead. I'm sorry I forgot to address you Mr Center Of the Universe. _________________ Today is a chance to become a greater person than the person we were the day before.

Sorry. No need to flame me because I don't like your thread. _________________ rally to the wake
yeah *I'm* flaming *you* because I'm asking you to explain your own comments. _________________ Today is a chance to become a greater person than the person we were the day before.

Most would say I shouldn't waste any more of my time on this thread, but I think you're entitled to an explanation, so I'll do my best to give you one.
Your title insinuated that the guy might possibly have run over a chick on his wakeboard (this was your bonehead observation), and that this possibility was strong enough that it warranted consideration by other members and its own thread. I gave you the benefit of the doubt and took time out of my day to watch the video closely. TO MY EYES the video clearly shows that Powers was not even close to running over the girl. I don't know if you have different depth perception than me, but that's what I SAW. Judging by the comments in this thread, nearly all the other members who watched the video agree with this view. Therefore, the video was not actually worthy of my consideration or its own thread, and was therefore a waste of my time and other members' time.
Do you find this explanation to be satisfactory? Is there something else you'd like me to explain? If not, I'd appreciate it if you would stop calling me a prick, a coddled child, and "Mr. Center of the Universe."
This thread definitely got entertaining. It reminded me of some of the old letsgo19 posts. If you havent looked at his posts do a search for him and I promise it will make your day a little better. _________________

Not to get in the middle of this, but helmets are not gay. I don't wear one, but I wouldn't give anyone a hard time for doing so. Gloves, on the other hand... But hey, we've all had to learn a few things since we started right? Hell, I used to think that the most expensive board would make you ride better no matter what. Back in '03 I bought a Hyperlite Parks DNA board with the slanted A-wing fins on the bottom - the ones that angled in towards the middle of the board. It was the worst board for a novice on the planet. If you went into a butter slide, you face planted. If you initiated a cut, and weren't ready to be on rails, you face planted. If you cased a wake jump, you face planted. If you didn't land perfect, you face planted. If you were in class, and thought about wakeboarding, and weren't holding on to your desk tightly, you face planted just because you owned that board. Everyone I rode with thought I was an idiot for buying that board, and I was. Not that buying the wrong board is as gay as wearing gloves, but thinking that just because something was the most expensive pro model board made meant it would help you ride better is pretty stupid.
Anywho, not sure I where I was going with that one....
I do agree with Chattwake, however, about the helmets. I don't wear one except when I think it'll help me get up the gonads to try something different, but I certainly wouldn't give anybody a hard time about it. The only rider I ever met that wore gloves specialized in a little something different.....kneeboarding. Needless to say, I had other things to give him heck for than the gloves

I bought the helmet because the concussions were starting to pile up, but now I'm not so sure it's actually doing me any good. Helmets are great for deadening impact with a solid object, such as a rail, box, or kicker. However, when my head smacks the water, it's still decelerating at roughly the same speed as it would without the helmet, so my brain's still taking about the same hit. I've even heard that the helmet gives your head added surface area and actually makes the impact worse. I'm hoping the slight padding on the inside might make up for that. At the very least, my eardrums are protected. _________________ rally to the wake
