Very positive experience with Boost Box...

I purchased a used 09 Supra 21V. Left from the previous owner in the boat's glove compartment was a boost box in poor repair (see link below for more info). No cables or anything for the device. I contacted the manufacturer to inquire about new cables. They told me to ship the unit it to them, and they would make sure everything was in good working order, and that the unit was programmed for my head unit. All they wanted was $15 to cover the shipping and cables.

When it got to them, they called me and told me that they could tell the unit had been dropped in water. There were problems with the circuit board. They cleaned the circuit board. They also told me that the unit was programmed for a clarion head unit, not a kenwood. They reprogrammed it. They put it in a new enclosure put on new decals (so it would look like the current model), and included new cables. They bench tested it. The unit was a 2008 model. No warranty. They basically went above and beyond getting a unit that they knew I didnt buy from them in tip top working condition. It is extremely rare a company stands behind their products like this, which is why I am posting this positive review.

I have now been running this thing for about 3 weeks, and it has been awesome. Not having to mess with the radio everytime someone bites it so the music isnt blasting everyone is great. I consider it one of the best features in the boat Smile

absolutely love having a boost box on the boat, hate riding/driving in boats without it

Never heard about this product. Sounds like a sweet idea. I actually never run my radio for the said problem, someone falls and immediately people are going deaf from the overblast of music.

Might have to look into them, especially seeing as how they stood behind the product so well. I LOVE companies that do that.

The designer of that product has been in boardstop a few times since he lives in the Austin area. Great guy.. Great product. We sell a number of them on Boardstop.
