m lesney, i just order new clamps for the custom shade.
unfortunatly even with all the rubber pulled out the old clamps were too small.
old tower= 1-5/8"
new tower= 2-3/8"
damn things are so expensive too _________________

thats where i got them. but i dont consider $132 cheap
but yeah cheaper than bullet lines by 5 bucks a piece.
got another 4 hours on the meter yesterday. god its so boring and takes forever!
also removed all the damn warning labels off the boat. FN 9 of them! looks so much cleaner now. only stickers i left where the passenger/gear load sticker(required?) and the serial number sticker on the tower (said voids warrantee if removed, and its brushed aluminum look anyway so you can see it really) _________________

That's correct, a Mobius LSV is not an A20.

well got allitle done on the boat today.
did the 20 hour oil change. and had all the oils and planed to do the Vdrive and tranny too but got lazy, and the manual says there good till 100 hours anyway, so ill wait on those. oil was still clear as water and the magnetic plugs will catch any shavings.
also installed a sub, it was a freebie that came with my 03 LSV. sounds good and with the built in amp, couldnt ask for a easier install. although after i put it in my drivers controls for the stereo quit working. they power up and shows the station/track etc, but none of the buttons work, so ill have to look into that.
also found some color match "no skid" mat at garden ridge. so i cut that up and put it in the cooler and glovebox to keep them from getting scratched or stained up.

Couple of nice touches. On the stereo control, did you double check to make sure you didn't accidentally unplug something when you were wiring up stuff? I've done that before and it seems like it is always the last thing you look for. _________________ If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular? |

So what did you do during the 4 hours it took for the engine oil to drain? Last fall I finally invested in an oil extraction pump, plumbed it directly to the drain hose and it now takes 5 minutes to drain. Plus you'll need the extractor for the v-drive and tranny fluids. |

thanks, yeah i unpluged and repluged all the connections for the 3rd time and that fixed it. guess ill never know what it was but i have a hunch it was the grey headphone looking jack. the other black SD looking plug was so snug of a fit.
lol the oil change took forever, it was a cold morning and the oil was a bit stiff. even parking on a 30 degree hill the most flow we could get out of the tube was about a 1/8" stream we even tried pressurizing the pan with a air tank via the dipstick tube. next time ill do it after going to the lake (warming the engine and oil)
total drain time was right about 2 hours.
yeah ive got an extractor from my old nautique. _________________

well i went out to the lake last night, fliped the stereo switch and guess what the drivers controls werent working again ARG!
i was so pissed all night i didnt even ride.
i must have unpluged and repluged and wiggled connections and wires over 20 times out there. i only got them DCs to work twice. the first time it was acting crazy though. buttons were reveresed, and one time the up volume would go up to 8 then start coming back down to 2 then back up to 8 all while only pressing up volume. then i pulled audrey and they quit working again. redid everything 10 times or so and got them working again. then a bit later they quit again. SO frustrating.
im not 100% on this yet but i think the only time i got them working temporarily is when i also disconnected the blue remote turn on lead from the amp to eliminate it from possibility.
any ideas?
im gonna keep doing testing but with it being random, and not knowing whats fixing and breaking it, its hard to diagnose and fix.
VERY pissed. _________________

Where did you wire in the power for the Sub with the built in amp. Did you tie into an existing hot wire. _________________ Rider: "Howd that last trick look?"

the positive and negative power leads i ran straight to the boats distribution block coming right off the battery(boat had second amp hookups already there if you ordered factory tower speakers, i didnt)
then ran the RCAs to the headunit sub out leads and then u ran the blue remote turn on lead and "Y"ed it to the second sub amp. so the blue wire comes out of the head unit. Y's to the two amps.(boat had factory amp for interior speakers) _________________

Hmm. You got me. I thought mabe if you tied into an existing hot wire to the radio or amp, you might get whats going on with you radio. By chance when you installed your self powered amp and ran your battery wires, you didnt forget to put all the negative cables back on the batter. Like one didnt fall behind the battery and you didnt see it to put it back on. Had that happen to me once and took me a week to figure out what was causing all my electrical problems. _________________ Rider: "Howd that last trick look?"

Did that little grommit thing that keeps you audio cable from falling into the hole something that you put in or did that come from the factory? (I want one!) _________________ Brent B

Pictures from the factory...is that standard practice for everyone who orders a boat? Pretty neat to see it's progress while you wait! _________________ Boater all my life...noob to wakeboarding. |

well i found out why i still had a vibration after replacing the bent stock prop with the acme 1433(we hit a stump). i was going to install the new 1939 and discovered this. no clue how i missed it the first time. gonna have to take her in for new strut and shaft. hopefully we didnt damage the v-drive too by wakeboarding a whole weekend with it this way.

dropped it off at the stealership this morning.
said it would take two weeks, problem is ive got a moomba/supra GTG in oklahoma in 12 days. gonna be close....
no clue if the shaft is bent. did have some vibes though. and with the strut that far off center im sure its not perfect. best case its got to at least have some nasty grooves from the bearings and strut touching it from being cocked. _________________

well i spent my 4th of July installing some new LEDs in the boat.
used some LED strips that we use on our RC airplanes, and some left over aluminum bar i had from making the custom bimini top.
Total cost was under $30 and took about 2 hours
didnt want the speaker ring look, i wanted more of a undercar neon glow. end result was just what i was after.
i wasnt expecting this. it really lights up the tower (reflection) its MUUUUCH brighter in person, hopefully it wont reflect off the windsheild at night, but our windsheild is SO laid back i dont think it will even be an issue.

dude I had the same problem when we hit a stump, it bent the strut, prop, and shaft, also check for small fiberglass cracks around the strut base, mine had four little cracks, so i got a new shaft, strut, prop, and fiberglass work to the tune of about $7k _________________ Lithic, LLC, my biz
