Ive found a Ski Nautique for sale where I am, which is a rare thing where I live as not many american boats around especially inboards.
The asking price is around 10,000 US dollars.

Im wondering what everyone thinks of this? Whats the wake like for wakeboarding seeing as its a ski boat?

I can fix it up if it needs it, but the hull design is whats important to me as I want it to produce a decent sized wake when weighted.

Has the hull design changed over the years? Any information would be helpfull

What's the year? '82 to '89 Nautiques are awesome wakeboats.
And where are you located?

After doing a lot more reading, it seems if its pre 90's ski nautique, the wake should be pretty nice when loaded. If post 90's then not so good.
So depends what year it is, will go see it in a few hours and try to find out.

Heres pics of the boat, the guy is asking 10,000 US dollars, I dont think its worth that at all, prices would be exaggerated over here because its american. He says that he wants to clean it up and get it running again before he sells it for that much though.
I took a pic of the ID number at the back of the boat under the swim platform, if im reading it correctly it seems to be a 1992 boat.

Can someone tell me anything more about this?
If the wake is good, then I will look into it further, if not Ill forget about it.

No way in hell is it worth 10k. You can get one here in the states for less than 10K in that year range that is in 100 times better shape. Plus, that is a 90's model, the 80's models were better wakeboats.

Obsessed, Where in the world are you located?

That boat is a dog and needs serious work... even if the engine were sound (which is a gamble) the thing is a wreck. I'd keep looking if I were you.

Seems like you'll be better placed to ship something to you from the US or here in the UK. I do a bit of boat supply, plese let me know what you are looking for and I'll see if there's anything here in the UK that fits Very Happy

Brit Rider, he's from Bahrain. Not sure how hard/expensive it is to get a boat there, but I'd keep looking. Like said before the wake on this boat isn't fantastic. Much better than any I/O or anything, but still. Plus, this is a '92 indeed, that still has wood (rotting wood by now I'm sure, seeing those pics) in the floor. If it's the only boat you can get your hands on, check out www.correctcraftfan.com's forum, there's all the knowledge in the world about older Nautiques.

Yeah, I had pretty much decided to pass on this already. I knew its not worth 10,000 in the current condition, but as I said the price on imported boats get exaggerated here as they are rare.

Really im looking for a boat that will do well in salt water, recently visited Dubai and had a look at Epic boats, as well as some master crafts, the master crafts were nice but out of budget (for a new one) the Epics were more reasonably priced.

I think it would be a good idea to import something from US, however its proving difficult to find something for the saltwater unless I get it direct from the factory.

If anyone has any suggestions or know of any boats let me know.
Budget can be as high as 45,000 US dollars.

Just install a closed frees water cooling system and som zink in the manifolds, and on the shaft. then it is good to go in salt water. The closed cooling system is a bit expensive if you go with and original one.

My boat is from 2000. sailed 8 years in fresh water, and going into its 3rd season in salt water. plus 2600 hours. still runs like a champ.

by the way stay away from the mentioned boat, looks like a dog, unless he sells it really cheap. you will spend a lot of money get that running and looking well. but arabs can be hard to barging with.

But if you have 45,000 USD buy a newer second hand boat. that must be available in the emirates
