Is there any alternative to the "clamshell" "claw" style clamp/mount?
I hung the Pro-60's from my tower just to get a feel for location, and man do they mark up the alum.
So just curious if there were any ideas or solutions to that.
Thanks

ryan351w, Didn't you put the rubbery covers on the teeth? You must have seriously clamped them down in order to damage your tower.
If you would like a different clamp you can buy the pro80 style clamps and put them on instead. _________________ www.AxisBoats.co.uk | www.Malibu-Boats.co.uk |

Brit Rider, Well, I bought them used, no rubber covers.
No, actually I didn't even use a wrench! Just let em hang there to take a look. It didn't gouge the tower just made some good scratches. _________________ Whenever I see an $80,000 Wakesetter pulling a tuber, I die a little inside. |

As long as your tower isn't 1 7/8", I probably have the inserts you need sitting in my garage. Let me know what size you need, and I'd be happy to get them to you. |

JRW160, Different clamps I'm afraid so doubtful this will work.
ryan351w, That sucks but yeah I can see how it would easily scratch. What you need is to wrap the tower in some rubber or something to protect it. _________________ www.AxisBoats.co.uk | www.Malibu-Boats.co.uk |

| yeah i really don't understand why they would not have the new clamps with the rubber pieces. the vibrations can easily cause the clamps to eat away at the tower. |
