Hi all,

Ive been wakeboarding since september last year on the cable over here in the UK at Liquid Liesure on a liquid force PS3 board and im enjoying the sport so so much but have hit a few barriers in progressing, first off ill let you all know where im at, i can ollie ( bearly 3inches), i butterslide and can get into the switch position and can hit and land the fun box.

Now this is where i hope you can give me a few pointers, i ride regular left foot forward and cant stay on goofy stance for very long, so any ideas how to improve on this so i can go round the cable in my opinion the better way Very Happy .
My cutting dont seem to be deep enough to create the arc of spray needed to get the line tension for a future attempt at a raley, all that seems to be happening is that i shoot at warp speed on my heelside edge in that direction, or i skim and bounce across the water and this is along the straights of the cable as i cant do heelside on corners because of the direction the cable travels and my inability to ride switch.

I also attempted a rail last 2 weeks ago and came off badly and done my hip in so bad i couldnt walk so im leaving that untill i improve Very Happy

Thanks all for reading and i look forward to your replys if any.

I don't ride cable so take this for what it's worth. To improve your edge, keep good flex in your legs, and weight the board about 60/40 towards the rear foot. As for riding switch, it's all a matter of practice. Get strong fundamentals riding your regular stance, then start riding switch. Oh, and welcome to the forums Cool

never been on cable, but i am learning switch myself right now. One thing that has been helping me is to be mindful of my hand position. If i'm riding regular with my hands at my lead hip, the slide around to switch, i try to mimic the regular position as much as possible. Ive seen guys drop their back hand also, but that didn't help me so much. once my hands are in that same position i feel it's easier for me to play with my edges and still have that strong pull from the boat.

PS - if someone posts below me and says something different, go with what they say... i still eat a lot of s%$t when i ride so my theory probably sucks Laughing
