Broken Fins on 2011 Marek

I took out my 2011 Marek for the first ride of the season and after trying a starting wake back roll I noticed two of the fins had broke. So needless to say I'm not a fan of the new hyperlite fins.

That's appalling. Is that the only screw holding the fin down or are there others?

Woah, definitely a defect. Talk to Hyperlite, they'll likely replace them.

The hebrewhammer- no there are two screws in each fins

gnarshred- not sure its a defect because it happened on both fins but I have the 2009 marek that I cracked so I just took the fins from that one.

Did they go to plastic fins? I'd go back to the older a or p wings that are aluminum. I'd also contact hyperlite or your retailer, and get them replaced. My theory behind that is that even if you don't need them, the company needs to know that they break.
