I'm just curious to see which boards everyone is getting this year? Or if you're going to stick with your current?
I will be ordering the liquid force harley set up here shortly pretty excited about it!

| I ordered a new, my first wakeboard but it's from 2010 - LF Groove w/ Transit bindings. I'm really excited about it, I've heard good things. Good luck with your new setup.

| I'm probably going to skip upgrading this year. I've gotten boards the past two years in a row which I've NEVER done before so I'm set even if one breaks. Before getting a Witness Grind in 2010 I was still on a deck that I've had since 2005 (a Liquid Force Litmus, It's still in pretty good shape!).

That's what everyone is telling me. Its my first 3-stage rocker board so I'm wondering how much more pop it will give me.

Hey OP, today was my 3rd day out on my new Harley. LOVE IT! I don't have the boots though. I went for 2009 Ronix ONEs instead.

I, today, decided to try out the Slingshot reflex (rode the response last year). I was torn between the 2010 and the 2011 (thought the 2011 looked totally awesome), but ultimately went with the 2010 for legacy bolt hole pattern so I didn't have to mess with the whole slider pocket thing - plus i saved some cash.
I'm of course buying these things while there is still ice on the water and I'm driving myself completely insane.

I'm thinking about a new stick. Maybe a Humanoid board. I've had my eye on those for a while. If not Humanoid though, then likely another SlingShot.

hey savage, which SS are you riding now, you and I historically have had extremely similar tastes in boards AND bindings If you want to try out the response I can ship it to you for a few weeks if you want.

| I'm either getting a 2011 Ronix, possibly the Viva or Ibex, or a 2011 Slingshot Hooke. I'm coming from a 2007 Ronix One with One bindings. Never been on a Slingshot before - any of you guys have advice?

The 2011 Slingshots are absolutely beautifully made, but I've been told they're mainly park boards. If you're more of a boat rider, you should probably go with the Ronix.

| It's amazing how much the sport has grown and branched out into new territory in the last few years. I never would've imagined I would hear the words "park boards" in the wakeboarding world

Ya man. I'm not a park rider myself but I love what small companies like Slingshot are doing. They've got these gorgeous wood core boards with stringers and unique graphic inlays that no one else is doing. I haven't had the pleasure of riding one, but I think they're the most beautiful boards on the market.

I just got the 2010 Byerly Conspiracy setup with pro boots...Loving it so far...however after my recent acl surgery I'm kinda wishing I had looked into slingshot a little more since they are supposed to be a lot more forgiving on landings... | TheHebrewHammer wrote: | | The 2011 Slingshots are absolutely beautifully made, but I've been told they're mainly park boards. | what constitutes a "park board"?

What constitutes a park board?
Well, I'm no expert, but the way it was explained to me is that flex boards (like the Slingshots or Ronix's Pheonix Project) are preferred by many park riders because the flex allows them to balance and press on rails, etc. In contrast, a stiffer, more traditional construction like the Carbon-X in my LF Harley is designed to maintain its shape and rebound quickly from deformations so that it holds a more solid and consistent edge through the wake for boat riding.
Does that make sense?

Here's the deck. Bindings should be here any day now.
Big thanks to Ryan Jones at www.americanboatcenter.com for hooking me up yet again. Ryan's always, I mean always, hooks it up fat on new and leftover gear for my friends and I. In this day and age, when many people just don't prioritize customer serice, it's good to see that some companies/people continue to value their customers and put them first.

Chattwake, Slickness with a sickness, great looking deck!! Is it just me, or the angle the pics where taken, but that board looks directional? The tail looks smaller with smaller fins?
