| Hey I was just wondering if i could possibly get a bigger wake out of my Mercruiser. It has a outboard, and is about 17 feet long. I looked into fat sacs but there expensive and take up room that i dont have. I also looked at Air Natiques but there very expensive. If you have any ideas please let me know and feel free to IM me (veilsidercng) or Email me at louiesclubhouse@yahoo.com |

Heavy duty trash sacks full of water. Fill the ski locker, and under the seats. By the way, I didn't know Mercruiser made boats.
Does the boat have a Mercruiser I/O? |

If your boat has a plug, take it out until it sinks about 8 inches, then put the plug back in. When you're done, turn the boat upside down and pour all the water out. Problem solved. |

| WakePunk, I/O is when the engine is rear mounted, and the drive system is outside and behind the boat, usually consisting of a fixed prop?rudder piece that is raisable by hydraulics. Inboard is either a v-drive or direct drive that has all runnung gear inside of the boat, meaning you dont have some large object at the back of the boat, but rather a platform, with the configuration of an inboard, the last thing to hit the water is the back end, or transom of the boat. This is superior to in I/O configuration which has the prop as the last thing which hits the water. The prop causes turbulence, and air bubbles in the water, which makes a wake softer, whereas with an inboard, the back end of the boat acts as a buffer, hardening up the wake. If you really want to know the difference, take a pull behind a new wakeboard boat, then behind your searay and tell me there isnt a difference. That will be a big surprise! |
