Just bought my first X-star and was thinking about adding some more ballast to it. I've heard both ways that it has enough ballast already and others say bigger is better. I've done a couple searches but never saw a post addressing this specifically so I was wanting to get some more opinions on if the X-star needs some more ballast.

Also if it does need ballast what would you put in it? I've heard it's kind of light in the nose and could use an integrated ballast there but what about rear tanks?

I'd remove the hard tanks and go to a full bag system. 650's in the back, a big triangle sac in the nose and a 500 on the floor. Depending on your skills should dictate how extreme you go. That being said, that hull with 2,500 pounds is an incredible wake!

I've heard of that option to remove the hard tanks and then just pipe the two 650's into the factory piping. I might do that as well just wighing my options.

Also the one on the floor that you are talking about. Are you talking about replacing the factory sack in the ski locker or literally putting one on the floor?
