2002 Mastercraft Xstar
So it's one of these 2...
MasterCraft Power Vortec Predator 5.7L EFI TBI 350 cubic inch GM V-8 engine - 310 hp, MasterCraft Power Vortec LTR 5.7L multi-port w/ NorthStar ignition EFI 350 cubic inch GM V-8 engine - 330 hp
But im not sure which...

TBI Engine for sure the 2 fuel injectors are in the throttle body. Such the name Throttle Body Injector FYI _________________ There'll be two dates on your tombstone/ And all your friends will read 'em/ But all that's gonna matter is that little dash between 'em... |

Basically it's the tried and tested Chevy 350 with a poor man's fuel injection. The TBI was effective, but has it drawbacks as well. Make sure the injectors are both working, and both putting out the same pressure.
These systems are nice because they add Fuel injection without all the major complications of modern FI. The more modern engines require special diagnostic software and programming. The 350 TBI can be easily programmed as almost any garage has the equipment to do so.
Other than that, make sure the motor has good compression, no oil leaks or water leaks around the heads, etc. |
