Well looks like I'm moving out to San Diego next week and I was wondering what the riding scene was like out there. Anyone ever ride on Missin Bay? I'd like to find some people to ride with when there aren't waves and the wind isn't blowin. I don't have a place to live yet but I'm going to try and find some place in Northern San diego since I'll be working out of the Liquid Force offices in Encinitas. Let me know about the riding and if anyone knows a place that I can rent or needs a roomate let me know at h2oslider@hotmail.com
Thanks,
Paul Pearce |

Try a post on wakeworld.com. There are quite a few SD people with boats over there and they all welcome new riders. If you're going to be looking for pulls you are closest to the Carlsbad Lagoon.
As for the conditions here, it depends on what you are used to but they are far less than par. Early mornings on the weekends will get you pretty good water (sometimes) and weekday riding is good but can get crowded at times. Sounds like you surf. Just don't give up that hobby if you are going to move here! |

| Thanks, I may throw something up there too. Sounds like the riding conditions may be the same there as in Austin. |

Paul,
I'd like to pre-welcome you to Cali. what will you be doing at LF? I'm heading down to SD this weekend (I live in L.A.) and working on getting a pull myself. But Blabel is correct, post on ww and you will probably get a response. Good luck with your move and maybe we'll see each other on the water or at a bar...he eh. _________________ This time, like all times, is a very good one if we but know what to do with it. - Ralph Waldo Emerson |

Paul, welcome to SoCal. I'm always looking for people to ride with so drop me an email when you get to town. You'll be working with some cool people and Encinitas is a great area. I've been riding with a guy that just recently started working at LF and he's really happy so far. Nothing like having the boss come and and say "grab your stuff, we need a 3rd!".

Thanks for the welcome Buttacup and BillJ,
I'll be working on the kiteboarding side of things at LF, but having spent the past 12 yrs wakeboarding I'm addicted to both sports. I'll remember these posts and after I get settled in I'll drop you guys a line to see if we can get out on the water.
Thanks,
Paul Pearce |

Hey Bill J,
Well I'm finally out here and I've been crashing on Colins couch for the past few days till my place opens up. Whenever you have an extra spot on your boat let me know, I'd love to get out on the water around here.
Thanks,
Paul |

| We ride in the carlsbad lagoon or mission bay... both are decent. The kiting down here isn't bad either. I usually kite in mission bay or anywhere along the coast if it is blowing. You need a big kite but it is pretty consistant. I live in cardiff pretty close to LF... you'll like it out here. |

Go to the wakesports contest at Mission Bay this sunday. It will give you a great opportunity to meet all the local riders around here and maybe be able to bum some future rides. _________________ http://www.mutinywake.com
