| Anyone use Bearing Buddies? I came across them at Northern Tool... looks like a great idea, and you don't have to pack bearings every year... Thinking of getting some this weekend. |

you still have to pack them every year. that should be part of your spring time maintenance. at least i do. and put a couple squirts of grease in them every month or so. but be careful, as they will fall out sometimes and sling grease all over your boat and trailer. thats fun to clean up! _________________ trying to find a $5-7K usable saltare if anyone knows of one. |

Wow... that sounds horrible... not to mention dry bearings = ruined axel and possibly trashed boat. Maybe I better reconsider _________________ '08 Mobius LS |

You don't have to repack them every year. You only need to hit them with grease
when yo can't see the fill line. That almost never happens if they are installed correctly.
They are a great nearly maintenance free option. |

Put them on every trailer my dad or I have ever owned. His company has several work trailers with several 100K miles on them and there has never been any issues with bearing buddies. _________________ If I agreed with you we would both be wrong. |

Bearing Buddy actually recommends that you do not repack them every year. They recommend inspecting them every 5 years provided you keep them full of grease, of course.
