Hey everyone,
I'm new to the site and wanted to say this place rocks, so much good info and helpful people from what I can see so far. A little intro, I am an American living in Okinawa Japan, I started wakeboarding towards the end of last summer and was able to get about 6, 1 hour sessions in (have to utilitze rented towing time). I was using a rented LF Trip w/ index bindings that didn't fit very well, but was able to get confortable with front/back side progressive edges, clearing both wakes FS/BS, 180s FS/BS and some small grabs. I did some research on purchasing a board, wish I woulda found this place first to get some advice, but went with the 2010 LF groove 134 packaged with the 8-10 transit bindings. from the reviews it seemed like a good all-around board that could help me get better, it should come in the mail within a few weeks and hopefully it will work out for me. That's about it, look forward to talking with you guys - if anyone here is in Okinawa or Mainland PM me. Thanks |

Hey Benji
Ive also got that same setup, but im on a 142. It works well for me and I enjoy it a lot. I like not having any center fins on it as I like the loose feel of the board, and helps when doing surface tricks.
I love the support that I get with the transit bindings, at first they were VERY tight, but they loosened up after a few days of use, and now they fit perfectly snug and feel very responsive.
I haven't tried many boards or bindings in my time, as im pretty new myself, but I dont think you'll be disappointed with the new gear.
Good luck |

| I agree about the center fin, I rode my friends board once and it didn't have the fin, I thought it was much easier getting into switch, landing and playing with slides on the wake. I'm glad to hear you like it, I hope I didn't get mine too small, I'm 170lbs so... I'll post up again when I get it. |

| Im 240 pounds, thats why I ride a 142, its my first board, so I wanted something easy to get up on, my next board will be much smaller though. Ive ridden my friends CWB 134 and felt very comfortable on it. Im not sure if its because im still a noob and am not doing tricks yet, but I kind of wish I had a smaller board now, I dont think youll have a problem. |
