where are you getting cans for 150 bucks? When I was looking at speakers for my boat the cans were running about 900 bucks almost for two. I ened up getting the wetsounds speakers which sound amazing. What I find if you don't get some good cans, they sound very hollow and don't project at all.

Diy wake has blemished cans for 80-95 a piece if you're like me and don't care about a few spots. You have to buy clamps though.

I was going to buy some off ebay. there are a set of illusion x going for 140 and a set of hydro wakes. now i dont know if they are good brands but they look good. quality is important though so maybe ill look into those sites.

edit: they are the same site duh and they are the illusion x i was looking at on ebay for 120 but clamps are from 30-50 so i may get ones with clamps just to have it all said and done

You can run a switch from amps remote line, or you can buy the bullet line eq..

I don't have the same tower but I did just wire mine this winter. I drilled mine with a uni-bit and fed the wire with welding wire from my mig gun. Once I fed the wires through I stuffed loom up into the holes so the wires would be protected. On the exit I ran loom to a through deck wire seal from west marine. Not sure how much detail you can see but here are a few shots.

From the front

Here is the link to the wire seal

Thanks for the reply, i appretiate the link, can you show me a better picture of the wire seal? ive actually just gone ahead and done it with about 5 holes in the tower and one in the boat because the tower i have has knuckles that i have to jump. imo it doesnt look too bad except the jump from the front bar to the cross bar. (pics to come when it quits raining)

now i just dont think my amp is big enough for the speakers Embarassed

yeah my dad is 6'4" so even the tower itself was a problems haha. but we dirlled into it just above the rear tower mount. far enough from the mount that it shouldnt weaken anything. but close enough to the tower to hide it

im powering them with a hifonicse100.2 but its not enough. currently i have them wired to 400rms at 8ohm but im thinking 100rms at 4ohm would prob. do them more justice.

currently they are about 20% louder than our other "in-boat" speakers and project a lot further so im hoping at 4ohm they are louder and then next year i will prob get another set and a bigger amp and really have something to talk about
