I shopped my butt off and they were the cheapest by far with great coverage. Just give them a call and they will quote you over the phone. |

$260/year through BoatUS? That's not fair!! What kind of boat do you have? And my quote was for their basic coverage, not the expansive one that is made for yachts, etc. Maybe they don't like me... |

| That's awesome. I have a Moomba Outback LS and the insurance for last year (the first year I had it) was $424 and then this year it went up to $477. Have you noticed if BoatUS goes up much each year (this is without any claims, etc)? |

| $300 boatus with $1000 deductable. That is full replacement cost. I have had 3 boats in 4 years and the price has not increased. |

$170 for 1-year, full coverage through my auto insurance company. It gives me a $250 deductable, $300,000 personal injury protection, and I think it is replacement value. Not as much features as Boatus.com, but much less money. |

Country Companies, for a '93 SN $260 per year. Not sure of the specifics. I also have all of my auto/bikes through them. _________________ Don't look at me in that tone! |

| wow, i dont know why yours went up. did you have any speeding tickets that year? they do check your driving record they do this on all listed boat drivers. Mine is a set value, you tell them what to insure it for and if anything happens thats what they give you. deductible is $100 on the boat, and $100 on the trailer. the last boat i had through them was a Mobius V drive, i paid $285 a year on it. of course the rates all so depend on where you live (how long you can use it out of the year), how many years of boating experience you have had (ive been a boat owner for around 10 years now, 5 different boats) and where you store your boat i believe. |

now that's a good price through an auto insurance company. I use state farm for my home owners and cars, they wanted like $470 a year to insure my boat. lol, i wiped my @ss with that quote |

| $470??? WOW! What kind of boat again? Maybe it is because mine is a 1990 19' Bayliner with a 4.3L V6. I can see a newer boat with a V8 being more expensive. |

| Nope, no speeding tickets of any kinds. I tried going through my home/car insurance company and for some reason they don't understand how a 310hp boat only goes 45mph and so they had an outrageous quote, i'm thinking it was around $900/yr. I just don't understand why I feel like I am getting screwed here...I am about to call and ask why my insurance went up this year... |

i would call them too. i have heard of some increasing though, if there were a lot of claims in a state, not your claims but other peoples claims. from really bad storm damage and things like that
T&T, it is a V8 its a malibu sunsetter. I have checked with a lot of insurance companies but boatus always gives me the best price. |

| OK I called and she told me they had a rate increase in May and I asked if this happens often and she said hardly ever (like 7 years or so) so at least I feel better about that. But I still want to pay less than I am right now, especially knowing that BoatUS quoted me $476 and yall are paying less than $300! Any other companies I could try that are less than what I am paying??? ANYONE??? |
