It is cold enough to not be that fun... I do not have a dry suit... Of course... it is 65 and sunny today... but I bet would be cold on the water. I am busying myself with boat projects at this point. But it makes me fiend for long hot days!

I'm dying to get back on the water. It's 85-90 degrees in southern California right now.. This is seriously a weird January.

I got a drysuit about 5 years ago. I only use it about once a season. A lot of people are still going once a week. We'll usually find a warm day (like today 70 degrees) and go out then.

Also we've found that the less winter riding you do, the more excited you are about regular season to get there. Of course when you're first starting out, you can't wait to get out there. When you've been doing it for 12 years it's nice to take breaks.

We've got 18" of ice here on the lakes in the northeast... Wakeboards are in the storage racks, snowboards are getting their use now.

Summer can't come soon enough tho.

We can get out on the water pretty much all year round here in Bahrain, we do get some pretty windy days though, and theres no lakes here.
I only started wakeboarding in September, and the winter starts about November here, its been the longest winter of my life! Anxiously waiting for the warm weather which is just starting to come right about now. Still been getting out for a few rides wearing a wetsuit in the last few months, I dont see anyone else here doing it though, they must think were crazy. I cant imagine how it is in colder countries!

If you were asking me....
Yeah, quite a few people kite board here, mostly foreigners who live in an area called Amwaj, they've nick-named a beach after it.
Ive never tried it myself, but Ive met someone who does it here and he says the wind here is amazing for it, whatever that means. It does look like fun I might give it a go one day but am still too obsessed with jumping a boat wake.
