Don't worry about it.The plates do warp a little bit, because they put less glass in the baseplate than some others. It warps a little over time, but keeps the plates from being brittle and cracking. You won't notice it when riding.

i hope you dont notice it like he says, i bought a first gen pair of ronix one bindings and they did the same thing, the gap led to a delay when i went to put the board on edge an kinda threw my balance, mabey i should have given em another chance but after 2 times out on them i sold them lol

STANG KILLA SS, dude call ronix and tell them about the heel lift and send them the pics. A warped baseplate is no different then a ripped overlay, and it should be warrantied (not sure if this is a real word lol). It is something you need to worry about when riding because if you stick your finger underneath that plate doing a grab, it can reek havoc. Plus you don't want your heel slamming down every time you land and end up with heel bruises. I have the Relik's too and there is very little space between the bottom of your binding and your heal. If anything, bend the truth a little and say you have ridden it like this and it really effects your riding. That should not happen to a $400 product that is less than a year old.

One other thing to consider, the board has rocker, so the spot directly in the middle of the inserts you're using to mount your boots will be a little lower then the inserts themselves. so the warping is probably not quite as bad as it may appear to be. Stand on the board, It'll flush up no problems, and go out and shred.

Or in my case, there is a visible gap between board and bindings, that's when you know you have a problem! See you Saturday, Luke Laughing

Ive always thought that ronix making their bindings so light they were sacrificing durability. Every single pair of my ronix bindings had a warped baseplate which bugged me alot. If they just stiffened them up a bit they would be great. I also wish they would make the hardware with teeth out of metal, ive gone through so many of those plastic washers and I would re-tighten them after every fall. I think the weak baseplate is partially why the screws come loose so often, I got alot of play in mine (heel/toe) lift and was always having to check them.

I had a pair of i think 2009 or 2008 cells that has a very similar problem, and I cracked the base plate in half when I cased the wake. I would hope that they would have improved in 2010-2011 whatever those are, but here is a picture to make sure you address the problem. Because that shizz can break. I would contact Ronix, but if they were anything like they were when I tried to get these replaces they sucked customer service wise.

Then I went to Kentucky boatworks, a boat dealer who carries ronix. They hooked me up with a free replacement baseplate which was very nice unlike actually contacting ronix directly.
