So, my Byerly boots had an issue last year and the outer sheething(sp?) cam loose from the cor of the string and would no longer cinch down.. Hyperlite warrantied the laces, but just sent new laces to the shop. So.... The ends of the laces are a little burred up at the outer sheethign and won't go thru the cinches.... any idea how to get them thru? _________________ Always looking for others who ride on Norris Lake in TN

you could try attaching fishing line to them and pulling them through that way. you might be able to push them through with a small screwdriver. _________________ Random Acts Of Dumbness Will Always Be Rewarded. |

Well, tried holding a decent length of them with pliers and pushing them thru, but as they say... cant push a rope. Just rolls up the ends worse. Fishing line may work, if I could get a knot tied tight enough.
I am also thinking I might get some electrical wire shrink wrap to shrink down over the ends to smooth them out. Might be the only thing that would work as anything I put on it, can't make the diameter larger.
I am going to try the fishing line first as it wont permanently attach. Then, shrink wrap. Thanks for the suggestion. _________________ Always looking for others who ride on Norris Lake in TN

Cut the burned part off, wrap scotch tape around it at an angle so it makes a long tip that can fit through. I've re-laced hundreds of boots this way. _________________
