Story of the amateur wakeboarder, wanted to throw inverts before learning the fundamentals.

Now that the season is over, I've decided to do everything I can to train switch and was wondering if anyone has any good tips or techniques for switch training.

I'm planning on picking up an Indo Board for balance. maybe take up snowboarding but wasn't sure if there was something else someone would recommend

Appreciate the help.

Snowboarding is a good idea. So is skateboarding/longboarding. Slide around in your socks on a hardwood floor. Basically anything that puts you into a switch stance in any fashion will help at least a little bit.

maybe take up snowboarding? learn to ride switch on the snowboard and you will have no problem riding switch on the wakeboard.

Heres what I did one winter. I hooked a short rope up to my treadmill (STOP LAUGHING!!) and rode..and rode..till the belt fell off..fo real. It still helped. I have a picture of it somewhere. LOL

wait I don't get it. So you towed yourself on a board across the carpet?
I agree with the slidding on hardwood with socks thing. You just need to train your brain how to react and compensate using the opposite stance and the only way to do this is put yourself in that situation as much as possible until you ride again.

Oh stuff..I left out the funniest part. Yeah, I was on my skateboard..it was pretty funny..till the belt flew off. lol. Another is a Rasor motorcylce, short rope and your skateboard. I make my son pull me on his all the time. Jet

Skate, skate, skate!

Not only does it help, but it's tons of fun in it's own right. I've been skating on-and-off for about 10 years now and it's still a blast.

Basically, just get yourself on some kind of board.

If you have the money, take a trip to Texas or Florida for a cable park weekend.

Otherwise, just start skateboarding, and snowboarding like you mentioned in the op

Bought and indo and hit the slopes the other day.

Spent half the day weaving in and out of the bunny slope on switch.

Great sesh, thanks for the feedback.

Think I'm going to skip the skateboard + treadmill idea... Shocked
