I always wear one. It would be soo stupid not to(I don't know about with a drysuit though, I've never worn one). If you got hurt on a fall, you'd be screwed, struggling to keep your head above the water, while the boat takes it's time turning around and the spotter sits there trying to figure out what your doing. By the time they came to get you, you'd be almost drowned.

i always wear a non-CGA vest when i don't have a drysuit on, but one time when i put on my shorty wet suit, i forgot to put on my neo vest and i floated just fine with the wetsuit. i didn't realize that i didn't have one on until i was up. and it felt cool riding around with just a shorty. u can move alot better. i didn't try anything crazy thoguh just incase something were to happen. once i fell i put on my neo.

I can't remember his name, but one of the pros died a couple of years ago b/c he wasn't wearing one. If you get knocked out, you're head is going under, and you're history by the time the boat gets back to you. Or worse, what if you came out of your board... how would anyone find you? Just don't even take the chance. I've known a few people to get wacked in the head with their board.

I always wear one I mean it takes 2 seconds to put on and it could save your life I guess, Mostly cuz in the summer it hurts if you fall on your back.

I dont understand why people dont wear them. They say its for ease of movement, but there are jackets out there designed for tons of movement, and they keep you afloat. I think its an image thing...'cooler' to ride without a jacket...but I could be wrong, thats just me. I just always choose to wear mine, cause you never know what might happen, its too big of a chance to take.

Always wear your vest. ALWAYS wear your vest with a drysuit, If the zipper breaks that drysuit turns into an anchor. I'm looking at getting a cga jet pilot but there were none at the show today Crying or Very sad

Its supposed to look really "cool" until your knock yourself out and drown. I've knocked myself out before, hit myself in the face with the board. I couldn't imagine going without a jacket. I wear an approved one, when you bail hard it feels like it takes a while to get to the top of the water the way it is, I dono about even wearing a non-approved. Tahoe is so cold I can barley hold my breathe for 30 sec. lol Laughing

Always wear my vest. The people that say it restricts them are full of stuff. If you can't pull the same tricks with a vest on, then you can't really pull that trick.

not only can it save your life but my molded vest protect me against bad crashes also... I'd craked a rib and it doesn't feel good at all... I feel alot more secure to try hard tricks with my vest on at anytime...

I've gone without mine before, but its stupid to do, especially if your trying tricks. It hurts like hell to fall without one anyway

I always wear a cga one when im riding behind the boat, but when i ride at OWC I wear a non cga one. I usually like riding with a vest cause it helps keep you cool during the summer and keeps you warm during the winter.

I can honestly say there's almost no way that I would be posting here if it were not for my CGA vest. I will never wear anything but a cga vest while I'm behind the boat. Also, anyone that wants a ride behind my boat has to go with a vest, no questions asked.

I used to not wear one...until I landed wrong on a trick, putting 24 stitches in my head, a skull fracture, and a concussion. I was knocked out underwater, and sinking since I didn't have a vest on. I'm lucky to be alive. Since then, I don't mess around...I always wear a vest. It's just not worth it not to.

I would never ride without, there is no reason to go without a vest of some kind. My brother likes to ride without if he is wearing a wetsuit, but I won't let anyone ride without on my boat.

Always wear one- usually non-uscga- it still floats me- the watcher just needs to pay attention to make sure I'm moving and not face down out cold.
