went out today for a little b-day wakeboarding and it was a little cooler then last week. The water temp has dropped 5 degrees in 6 days looks like we got a few weeks till the wet suit comes out if I'm lucky. This is my first winter wakeboarding but every year I say I will ski through the winter and every year about the third or fourth time I go out in the wet suit I call it quits, oh well guess I better enjoy it while it last and besides I got to ride my 3DS and Ronix One back to back and still love the old hyperlite maybe as I progress the one will feel better
lol I am sure the board feels fine but I still feel better on my Hyperlite then on the Ronix. I get much better air with the 3DS but its more from approach and ability to edge better then pop from the board. The one doesn't really feel loose but it doesn't quite track the same so I am not holding as hard of an edge I am sure I would improve on the One I just need to dedicate three or four sessions to it but I prefer to keep working on my riding ability then worry about the board my goal was to consistently get wake to wake by the end of summer and I got that next is get further out into the flats then I will look at giving the Ronix a go, funny thing is I actually got the 3DS as a boat board for $50 with bindings and decided to throw my bindings on it to try it out and absolutely loved the board I just feel like I need to be using the One because it a much newer board and from what I have read the 3 stage should provide more POP then the continuous rocker but I just feel more comfortable on the Hyperlite.

Shenanigans. Just look at any of Shaun Murray's riding in the last decade or so. from 99-2009 all of his pro models were continuous rocker boards. Actually I think the 08-09 Murray is probably the 'poppiest' board I've ever ridden.
Contrary to what some may think, the Ronix One is not the end-all be-all of wakeboards. Likewise an aggressive 3 stage rocker is not a good fit for everyone's riding style.
Just ride whatever fits your style best, (demo as many boards as you can) and don't worry about what other people say about boards. In the end it is very much so personal preference over popular opinion. _________________ wakeboards wakeboarding
