Hey guys and girls. I went out today with my uncle ( im only 14) and i tried the doing the heelside flip. Im not sure what the correct name is. But it sucked big time. I didnt even look like a flip. Can i just get some tips. I think part of it is mentally. I might be a little afraid. THANKS

tantrums are the stuff! Start out about 20 ft (books and videos say 15, but you can hit it faster farther out) and take a heelside progressive edge into the wake. Build up speed as you get closer. When you are about 2-3 feet away form the wake, level out your board so it is parrallel with the wake. Cruise up it and once you hit the peak of the wake, let go of your back hand. Throw your head back and your chest to the sky. Your board will initiate the flip. #1 thing, relax! it is a nice relaxed flip once you get the hang of it. Never force it, it will eventually come.
