Hi,

I'm rather new to wakeboarding but I want to buy my own wakeboard so I can make progression together with my board. I've decided that I'm going to buy a Ronix One with cell bindings. But I'm having troubles deciding on its size.
I'm 165 lbs (=75 kg) and about 1.85m
Should I get a 138 or a 142?

And any thoughts on my choice?

Thanks!

ps: I'm sorry for my bad english but it's not my native language. It's always appreciated if you correct my mistakes Smile

da Liks, That sounds a little small I ride a 134 ronix mana and I only weigh 120lbs. I would definantly go with a 138 or 137 at 175 pounnds. The more surface area will give you easy landings and more pop off the wake.

I'm 185 here and ride a 136 LF Witness. I'd suggest you go with the 138 size but thats just me. Its all about how you feel riding the board. Try to get a demo and try it out a few times. If you like it then its all good.

I reckon you'll be good with the 138. As has been said if you candemo both sizes that would be better. It really boils down to personal choice at the end of the day, some people like smaller boards others like larger ones. The weight/length tables are purely guidelines and nothing more.

In our group it's only the tall guys that ride the larger boards - talking 6ft upwards, everyone else is on 136's 138's.

Just received my board. Any ideas on what fins to put on it? I got the 1.0" ramp fins and 0.8" slider fins with the board.

.8 fins/ thats what i ride with, i dont ride cable/ just boat, and the ronis one is known to be very edgey, so the .8s help alot for surface tricks

Jebuske- The .8 slider fins will feel loose because of the shape and the 1" fins are too long and don't free up well on surface tricks. I would use the slider fins for cable park riding, but order the Ronix .08 aluminum ramp fins or the Hyperlite .08 p fins. They both free up easily on surface tricks and still provide excellent traction while edging and landing.
