| Any of you guys/gals with little ones which infant vest did you use? We'll be taking our little one out for his first boat ride in a few weeks so I need to get one ordered.

the best thing to do with little ones is to take them to the store and try on a few different ones.
They make a few different shapes and depeding on their build some fit better than others.

Their kinda expensive but if you want the best get a mustang infant vest. They are built really well and have the softest nylon of any I have seen which will make it more comfortable for him rather than having some rough nylon rubbing on him the whole time.

I can't imagine any kid would like wearing one of these life jackets, but hers doesn't seem to bother her all that much when we take her.

he will be less than two months most likely when he takes his first afternoon cruise, i'll just have to get the smallest one and hope it doesn't swallow him whole, i was looking at the liquid force jacket above, all of them seem like they will be too big for him, he will probably only weight about 10lbs at the time

Slidin out, went through this debate about a year ago. Took us a while but we finally found this one. I have recommended it on the other board a few times and every ones seems to like it. LIttle guy loved it and still uses it this year. First few pics are from first time out at 4-5weeks I believe.

One more pics of him in the vest on there and some suggestions on where people have found the vest. Please ignore the pics of me trying to get the little guy to work on his "ground game" it's pretty weak right now lol.

| Cute pics, bjeremi! We have a new grandson this year and found one at the local Ski Shack. It was actually less than the same ones we found on the internet. It's infant size and neopreme, he doesn't mind it too much but make sure to get the little swimmers diapers. Riley did NOT like the 5 pounds of water he gained on his first swim.

I used/ use a swimming vest you get at walmart or target. It is not CGA vest but my little due was only 10 or so lbs and the vest swallowed him. However, we do not cross large bodies of water either we only ride in rivers where the shore is always 100 yds or less away.

| Slidinout the thing I really like about the stearns vest is if you look at it close it's basically a swimsuit with floaty s on the front and around the back of the head. The mustang vest is a good vest but it only has one small "through the legs' strap and as small as these guys are they can slide out of something like that pretty easily.

| Alot of vests he did slide ride out or could have slid right out. Took us quite a while to find this one and sometimes they aren't the easiest to come by.

And its side entry!
We just had my 6 week old daughter out on the boat yesterday... We'll be looking for a new vest for her.... the one we have is waaaaay too bulky... it basically chokes her... This one looks like it might be a winner

Ours is a Body Glove neoprene infant life jacket. Here is a picture when he was only a little over a month old for his first dip of his feet in the lake with mommy. It was a little big on him then but he has grown into it nicely at 3 months now (no picture available right this moment). We had him on the boat with us from 8am to 1pm with the lift jacket on laying down in his baby basket and he slept most of the time so it couldn't be that uncomfortable.
