So, tell me.. what are the most common injuries from wakeboarding? i kinda Bubb Rubb up my body skateboarding for 12 years, and also some hard abuse motorcycle freestyle stuntriding. Got some neck/shoulder problems that wont go away anymore. wrist, knee and shoulder surgerie blabla so i'm kinda hurting already just started wakeboard NEXT to stunting, and i really like it. the water SEEMS more forgiving then the asfalt so far.. |

Black eyes, split lip, concussion if you take a really bad face plant. Board through your head. I've come across a dislocated shoulder. _________________ Suck it up and get hardcore! |

okay.. had the kneething too with skateboarding, sliced open my patella with a shard of bone from my shin.. doctors missed it though, so it was in there festering for half a year. they had to recut/shape the tendon, bleh... but i really dont wanna Bubb Rubb up the neck anymore but jumping and spinning w2w is so much fun, feels so natural! damn.. |

| I got knocked out hitting the water spinning and catching an edge. Turns out it was a concussion that gave me a 2 week headache. It's defintly not a non dangerous sport if you are looking for something easy going, this may not be it ,haha |

| i NEVER had an easygoing sport, i was just wondering. my list of injuries is way too long already so i may have to take it easy a bit and stay recreational instead of wanting to compete within the year haha! |

Hmm, I have 2 CTI braces from my motocross days. I'm 37 now and not as flexible as I once was, perhaps I should just make it a habit to wear them while I wake board?
I'd rather deal with the hassle of putting them on than dealing with the hassle of months and months of recovery time.... Something to think about....
How many of you guys wear braces as a preventative measure rather than simply to protect a previously injured knee? |

| I am 37 yrs old and I race MX as well, been riding/racing for a long time. Never broke a leg until I started Wakeboarding. It is super fun but damn sure commands respect. |
