Cut out a lot further. Wait for the boat to start pulling you back toward the wake, this will prevent the slack from jerking you (ease your edge, your cutting hardest when your furthest from the wake). Use a progressive edge, your hardest edge should be at the top of the wake. Hope this helps

^what he said

i'd also straighten your body at the top of the wake. don't "push" for a jump, but as you leave the wake straighten your hips and knees

yeah you need to cut waaaay farther out and cut waaay harder to the wake. Don't cut so abruptly either do it more gradually.

Yep, you need to be cutting about 3X as hard going up the wake as you are now. Also, lock your knees as you're going up. You're absorbing a LOT of the wake with your knees right now.

shorten the rope a bit too, it helps for the learning curve of w2w. then as everybody else said, start at the wake, cut out as far as you can with two hands, level off and let the boat pull you back, then start your cut

Yeah, you need a lot more speed approaching the wake. Like they already said, if you can edge out toesdie all the way, youll have more space to progressively apply your edge all the way through the top of the wake. speed will get you much closer to clearing it and landing a w2w. good luck amigo

It's already been mentioned obliquely when everyone is telling you to cut out more and let the boat pull you in. But, to put it in a way that might make more sense, you are cutting in out of nowhere. You need to build tension in the line by cutting out further then coasting with the board flat until the line is taught. Once you get to this point, then you do a gradual parabola like cut into the wake wherein you are at your hardest cut as you hit it. This will give you distance. The rest of what everyone is saying about not bending your knees, and "standing tall" is how you get your height.
