Forgot to say thanks for posting the book drill video. It's helped immensely. Funny how learning to walk before you run actually works. So again, thank you!

Now I've ran into another problem. I cannot get into the cuffed position, or blind position so that I can work on riding like that. Riding in the front slide position has helped big time , but no matter what I try I can't get into the backslide position to learn how to control that. We slowed the boat down to about 12mph and I'm trying to carve into it like shown in the book videos, but to no avail. Tips Please.

You mean powersliding with your face away from the boat? by backslide position.

Are we talking, cuffed, blind or backslide?

Riding cuffed, the easiest way for me is to ride behind the boat, you pull the handle towards you (but don't hank it!), pass your back hand behind you and grab onto the handle, so you are now holding the handle in both hands behind your back - slowly edge out over the wake, lean onto your toeside edge and go with the flow.

To make it blind, let go with the front hand and you face away from the boat but still travelling forwards - it's hard not to go into a spin at this point and takes practice. But this makes doing 360's dead easy.

Backslide - I start the same as riding cuffed, behind the boat, pull the handle towards me, reach round with the back hand to grab the handle, keeping your knees bent then do the rotation so I'm facing backwards, just lean against the line on my toes facing away from the boat and off you go. When it feels uncomfortable you just drop whichever hand and rotate back around to a forward riding position. The key here is keeping your knees bent and leaning away from the boat, if you're too straight it's very easy to fall backwards.

make sure you are looking the way your body wants to turn, keep your chest and head pointed the same difection while in cuffed position...if you continue to look the way you are going..your body will naturally want to turn you.

Thanks yall. I meant all 3. I'm having issues with the cuffed, blind, and backslide. I'm having issues pulling the handle towards me when the boat is driving so slow and I'm sitting in the middle of the wake. I'll try this again next time I go out, its been a few days and I'm craving the wake.
