I'll be attending Expo for the first time this year. Anyone else going? Any tips, not to be missed events, etc? _________________ FlyZone Wakeboarding Costa Rica |

| Do you mean Surf Expo in O-town? If so there is usually an Industry Party on Friday which you need a wrist band from the show for. Used to be big lid Islands of Adventure or Wet and Wild. Saturday should be free beer after 3, most places get a few kegs, Volcom goes through about 20 in 3 hours while giving out a ton of merch if you don't pickle juice in the face....Keep your ears open for smaller parties most companies have one, always good bands Downtown also @ the Social. |

That's the Expo I mean. Thanks for the info! Already had Fridaynight/wake awards scheduled. Seems like I should not go there by car on saturday then. Sunday is pretty quiet probably? _________________ FlyZone Wakeboarding Costa Rica |

| Car is fine, They just charge like $10 a day to park with no re entry. Sunday is actually the day to get killer days on gear. Some companies allow you to purchase floor models and pick up on Sunday, but if they haven't sold it, they don't want to pack it up and sell it dirt cheap. My buddy got a $500 WRV surfboard for $250 late Sunday once.... DO you have a booth, or going as a buyer? Holler if you want to grab a beer... |

I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it this year (first time in probably 5 or 6 years or so?) but I'll have to see. It's always a good time but the freebies/big industry parties have died down in the last couple of years. Now it's mostly parties in the evenings at bars/downtown instead of renting out entire theme parks (WHICH WAS AWESOME!!!!).
If you're planning on buying anything try to reserve it early. Most vendors won't let stuff go until sunday but if you ask, a lot of them will hold something for you until after things start to wrap-up sunday afternoon. You can get some KILLER deals on new gear. Spend some time getting to know a couple reps from some wakeboard companies if you have the time to, they might hook you up even better.
The wake awards are an awesome time, I'd love to go to expo just to see that again. Sunday is definitely the slowest day and a lot of people start to pack-up after their early appointments. |

I don't have a booth, I'm a retailer. I sell LF and Hyperlite in Costa Rica but will also try to promote wakecamps and vacations in CR.
What booth do I go to to grab that beer?! _________________ FlyZone Wakeboarding Costa Rica |

| All big retailers like quicksilver and Hurley have beer, but like I said Volcom has the biggest party hands down. Usually after 3 Friday and or Saturday, thru change all the time. |

most of the vendors are closed off so make sure you contact your reps and try to setup appointments or you might get blocked at the company entrance. some companies are booked all expo so you should try and make sure you get all the appointments you want before you go. _________________ Wakeskating

| FlyZone CR, OH! Definitely swing by the Volcom booth from time to time. Always something ridiculous going on. |
