So after two seasons with my limited all white A10, I can't wear it anymore because it looks as if I rolled in weeds and sewage. So I am wondering if I could bleach it? I have not tried a simple wash yet because I doubt it will do any good. Any suggestions? _________________ well, i did have over 800 posts.. formerly natman |

Haha...white is a no no on our lake. After about 3/4 months, might as well bought something ill-tan colored.
No idea on cleaning it, sorry. _________________ One ring to rule them all, one ring to find them. One ring to bring them all, and in the darkness bind them. |

i'd say the best way to fix that is to prevent it in the first place... wash down all yer gear and shout yer vest after every time you're done! but two season's worth of wear.. it's bound to show some age. not sure on what else to try besides shout or woolite or something along those lines. i'd be careful with bleach, but i'm sure somebody knows more about that than I. _________________ click to see my most recent photo set

bleach will damage the material making it easier to bust on a bad fall. Stay away _________________ Today is a chance to become a greater person than the person we were the day before. |

Eh, it's an A10 to start out with, it isn't going to do much even if it stays on during a bad fall.
The best bet is to let it soak for a few days in a mixture of OxyClean, water and Woolite. _________________ wakeboards

Or you could do it with with a fair amount of bleach and then impress the ladies next time you're out by feigning irritation with the vest and then ripping it like the hulk with your manly muscles. _________________ Today is a chance to become a greater person than the person we were the day before. |

I put some detergent straight onto some of the bad parts of my vest, like where my neck and arms come into contact with it. It's white/black so there were a few lake stains and skin stains so while the detergent was sinking into those I filled up a warm bath tub. Tossed in the vest and scrubbed with an old toothbrush. It looks great now.
Just make sure to rinse it a ton with clean fresh water afterwards a couple times. Detergent is pretty sticky so you want to make sure it all gets washed off. _________________ Wake Forest University |
