Yes, I just had one last week. I couldn't get any air and couldn't do any w2w tricks at all. So, I just started doing surface tricks and ollie 180s, rode switch as much as I could, and that's about it.
Then, on Friday, my binding broke so I had to drive to a board shop and rent a complete wakeboard (2009 Hyperlite Marek with 2010 Hyperlite Team bindings). It took a bit to get used to, but after a while I loved it. I landed my first 360 using it lol, so yesterday was good. I'm going to continue renting the board on the weekends, since the money I use to rent it goes towards anything I want in the shop.
I think everyone has bad days, not much you can do about it except just mess around and try and have fun. |

I honestly just had a set like that today. I couldnt figure out wtf was up. So i just wipped out the wake skate and screwed around. Riding one footed, getting up while seated and then standing up, fake raleys - just clowning around stuff. It was a lot of fun and I found that when we took a set 3 hours later I was much more "on". I think when you're riding like total sh*t that's when it's time to just clown around for that set - switch it up if you can. Otherwise it's really easy to get super frustrated about it. Good to try to just clown around and remember what it's all about - fun. _________________ Today is a chance to become a greater person than the person we were the day before. |

| when I have days like that I just stop and go back to basics. No need to continue trying untill you get hurt. I just mess around with the basics like carving and board control, make the best out of the set. Usually the next set I am a better boarder because I kept up on it instead of packing it in. |

I was beginning to think I was the only one who had this problem. Last weekend was great for me on Saturday, some of the best sets I've had. Then Sunday, with an audience of friends in the boat, I couldn't couldn't pull anything off. After we dropped them off, my wife knew I was discouraged and offered to pull me again. Not as good as Saturday, but at least I didn't look like a beginner that time.
Just pull up your bindings by the boot strap and try again. |

| Had a day like that Sunday as well. I just was not getting any pop at all. Worst part was the lake was nearly empty, I couldn't have had better water conditions. I just started to carve around and try different ways to get up, even just digging the edge in and plowing water for as long as I could hold it. |

Ok everyone, lets keep this in perspective... is there really such a thing as a bad day riding. Sitting at my desk on a Monday morning... I would say NO! _________________ '08 Mobius LS |

same problem saturday, previous weekend was kick butt as far as riding, so i was really excited about continuing that trend saturday, well it sucked donkey balls, couldn't jump w2w toeside, was all over the place with heelside jumps, couldn't style out any grabs, both sets were mediocre at best, same with my riding partner, now we did go from riding behind an outbackV to my 03 SANTE but i don't think that was the difference, just a bad day, and the worst part is that was my last time to ride for a few weeks since i'm at the hospital today waiting on my first son to arrive in the world, i'll soon forget about the bad set _________________ Lithic, LLC, my biz

A bad day on the water always beats any day at work.
That said, I've had off days before where I couldn't land anything and was riding like a klutz. Just have to remember bad days like that make the perfect days just that much more tasty. _________________ Hilton Head Wake Sports.com

It wouldnt be a sport if you had only good days.
There have been days where our whole boatload of people just couldnt thrown down anything.
A couple of weeks ago, I was falling on frikkin simple ollie w2w. Was really tying to push up the height, and would just wipe on landings. No one was hitting anything. Ended up just hanging for an hour on the boat floating and relaxing before we tried again with only mild success. _________________ One ring to rule them all, one ring to find them.
