Are you faceplanting or crashing on the side or on your back?

I had the same problem and it was because i was letting go with my left hand (im goofy) and waving it in the air for balance, which would just make me off balance. Hold the handle with both hands, stand tall at the wake, and your good. Mr. Green

Yeah, watch some videos of the pros and how they do things. That helps me a lot when I try to imitate them.

determination, through the whole jump, keep that handle at your lead hip. When you land, edge away from the wake towards the shore. Don't try and stop your momentum when you come down from the jump, just ride it towards the shore. Or, try a shorter line length until you get it dialed. Keep working at it!!! Cool

Yup. I only got toeside w2w recently - it hurts when you get it wrong. Dunno if this helps, but one of the things I was doing wrong was bending over at the waist. Look up and push your chest away from the boat. Get that line tension as you leave the wake and it all suddenly seems so easy.

Glad that I'm not the only who has probs going TS. I can only do little bunnyhops, and I think it's couse I take my non-lead hand off and let flail all around like a freak. Will try those tips!

Something that has helped my TS jump is only cutting out about 10 feet from the wake. I found if I cut way out, then try to come back in, I can't hold my edge, the board flattens, the jump sucks and I'm way out of body position when I land. If I cut about about 10 feet, then cut back in, the line is tight, my body position is right and I can almost go w2w now.

Most people forget about the proper edge, they just cut into the wake and try to hold that same edge and pound through to the other side. You still need a progressive edge on TS to generate the line load, starting a little less further out helps this like mentioned above.

Like I have said in the past TS is easier in my mind cuz you can't cheat as easy like on the HS edge you can flatten out and still clear the wake on TS if you have proper technique and flatten out at the wake you get nothing... I get more air TS than HS unless I'm doing TS double ups than I just hang on for the ride.

TS double up's anyone?

DON'T BE A HS JOHNNY LEARN HOW TO WAKEBOARD!

I started landing my TS w2w only after I learned my switch HS 180. I guess I just figured I was landing TS anyway I might as well take off that way as well.
It helps me to try to push my knees toward the wake to build the speed.

I had the same problem. Just keep going when you land. Don't try and stop. Just shoot towards the shore, like Naw said. I was trying to slow down when i was landing, thats what screwed me up.
