Wake the World is in the running for a $25K grant from Pepsi. Our project is to provide watersports oppurtunities to underpriviledged kids across the US. You can vote by texting "101317" to pepsi (73774) or follow the link.

this is great.. it's easy to forget how fortunate we are to get to play with toys like these. it would be nice to see kids who would normally never have an opportunity to wakeboard get to experience something we all get so much enjoyment out of. _________________ click to see my most recent photo set

Thanks for all the positive comments!
Aaron - we just got back from San Antonio for Wake the World Texas. I heard that Austin is the wakeboarding hotspot in Texas! |

That's an awesome idea. I wonder if when we get our house built and have an actual spot on a nearby lake if we could organize a local one of these in the area. Really cool idea and definitely has my support. _________________ Today is a chance to become a greater person than the person we were the day before. |

Start one in Austin!
Ryan Caroll is the guy that ran the San Antonio event. We had been talking for a year and a half. He called me back in February and said "I'm doing it!" Ryan came here, to NC for our event to take notes and see how easy the day actually is. Then we flew down to Texas be there for his event.
Here is a link from San Antonio.
