Ive been to a couple competitions now and i was wondering about how strick most comps are about riding classes.

The ones ive been to is there is an advanced class with a limit of 5 inverts then the pro class which is unlimited.

Now heres my problem, i think i should be riding in the advanced class because im obviously not pro, i cant do any mobes and the biggest spins i do are 540s, but i can do more than 5 inverts.

Should i still be able to ride in the advanced class even though i will do probably 6 or 7 inverts?

kent2010, from my experiences, competitions usually are hesitant to bump if its just 1-2 tricks over the limit. Again, in my experiences, they usually dont. But it can happen, especially if you totally stand up your run and look like your sandbagging. Last week I entered an INT competition...I had never rode INT and with their silly little point system I had no idea what division to ride. I have a ton of 3s and 5s but only 3 or 4 inverts I can do regularly so it makes it tough to find my spot in their trick book/list. I ended up entering advanced (I think it was 5 inverts and 360s or something) but told the judges to bump me if I should be bumped. I ended up having my best comp run ever and did 5 different 3s, 2 different 5s, and 3 inverts. They bumped me to expert and I got 2nd. Moral of the story, if its close, id usually go lower and they can bump you if necessary. However if you want to step it up and try your luck in a higher division, thats respectable too. I have done that several times and usually it comes back to bite me but it feels good to push yourself to a higher level.

Alright, thanks man. if i really stick my run i will probably look like a sandbagger, so they can bump me up if i do i guess.
