Sorry about the repeat of this topic...

I have always ridden a 3 stage board (Hyperlite Premier) so automatically I think Recoil. But I have read very good things about the Response so I have thought about trying it. I have no way to demo any boards.

Give me some input/ post some videos of you riding your Recoil or Response.

Thanks.

I will get the response and be riding it for the first time this Thursday. If you want I can let you know what I think. In the mean time I have *heard* but not experienced that the board pops really well for a continuous.

I wouldn't be surprised if it did though, I rode continuous boards in the past and been able to get plenty high on them. I have tried the lyman for a season and this season I've been riding the Shane (which I love, btw) which were both some form of 3-stage (hybrids IIRC).

If you want I can try to take some video and throw it out here. But keep in mind it will be my first set on the board so I might not be looking that comfortable on it.

also depends on what type of riding do you want to be doing, what size boat do you ride behind, and what ballast if any, because id say if its a smaller wake you would want to go with three stage, and also if you worried about possible injury you might want three stage because they give you more vertical airtime, so you can have the same airtime as a continuos without landing in the flats

cant help you with the recoil but rode my response 142 for the first time today and loved it. board rode fast and i didnt have any problem clearing the wake and i ride behind a 19' i/o without ballast. my first day on the "flex" board but the soft landings were nice. either which way you decide im sure you'll be happy with the slingshot board.

I ordered the 09 Recoil, 138, today. Hopefully I got the right size. (5'10", 165) I can't wait for it to get here. Thanks for the input.
