Threw a couple raley attempts last weekend just couldn't pull em down. Last one tweaked me good. I'm in the doctor's office and just got the news that I've got a hernia. Son of a bish. Hope it doesn't end my season.

If you throw it correctly and fully extend your body the board should almost automatically get back down (imagine a rubber band being fully stretched that 'snaps' back).
However: that sucks! Good luck.

Key to pulling down the raley is pushing the handle straight down to the water and pull your knees in towards your chest a little. No need to do it like a toe touch and strain your abs... just don't make it harder than it really is! Wink

Lil late for that advice but I know what you mean for sure. I just wanted to see how easy it felt to let your feet fly out on a full cut and it was more natural than I thought. Meeting with the surgeon on Aug 4th really hoping he plans to let it be and I can finish the season. I had to beer medicate tonight to fight off a deep depression.

yeah... you're doing it wrong. it doesn't take a lot of effort to pull a raley down. Just a little pressure pushing the handle to your knees and it'll come right under.

And another reason wakeboarding is better than surfing, you die less, that means you have another day to wakeboard, which is more fun than surfing anyway.

Stupid f'in doctor misdiagnosed. I have no hernia according to the surgeon. Time to get back out and stick the backroll I've been trying all season, I'll probably leave the raleys alone till spring
