leaving AM, 6 day multistate wake/film trip

im so amped.
wakeworld is putting on amatuer videographer contest. since both are my hobbies i was really excited to give it a go against some of the best. so plans were set in motion, and finally tommorrow the journey begins.
leaving texas, heading to mississippi.

well over 1300 miles
4 riding locations in mississippi, and alabama
4 days of filming
both boat and winch spots
4 riders, my former instructor, a sponsored former pro chic, and two other insane riders
1 HD camera, and a hella good time
driving and filming in the mornings, and me and audrey are gonna ride and get tips in the afternoons
weve got some amazing locations and shots/angles planed

this will be my biggest filming/editing project ever, as well as our biggest wake trip to date.
im so amped, definatly keep yall posted.

dude where are you riding in MS? I can say the Pearl River on the northern end of Ross Barnett in Jackson, MS, has some straight up butta early in the mornings. And you can probably catch some gators on film too.

Friday morning - Gulfport Intercoastal or The Locks (very cool backdrops)
Saturday morning - Coffeeville (Tombigbee River....my personal higlight)
Sunday morning - Okatoma winch/kayak mission (kayak/canoe/winch down river that has 2 Class II drops and 5 Class I drops)
Monday morning - Gulfport or Locks (whichever we didn't go to Friday)
Afternoons- home private lake

LOL i wish everyone would shut the hell up about gators! audreys been scared to death! and the closer we get the more people mention them. lol she even got a call at 7:15 am this morning warning/scaring her about the gators.

pretty sure coffeeville isn't on the tenn-tomm river, but the tenn-tomm is butter too just about everywhere you ride on it, the gators disappear about as quick as you see them, they don't bother the people

well we just got back to texas

put in nearly 1600 miles
rode in 3 states
filmed 3 riders

day 1: Mississippi, loaded winch in john boat and floated the river for hours just to hit a fall at the end
day 2: Alabama, hauled to boat to a sick river. my favorite spot
day 3: Lousiana, hauled the boat again another sick river, infinite glass
day 4: Mississippi, Gulf port rained out, did a evening and night rail winch sesh back at home base.

a few pics from the photographers that came as well.

i hope to have a teaser/trailer up after getting everything riped to the computer...

its all good. you didnt miss anything. like 5 hours of work and swamp rafting for 6 seconds of footage. it was bust. heres a couple pics chris got.

here was the water conditions on the rivers we took the boat on. other than the last day at the gulf that got rained out this was the water condition all day long, every day. glass as long as you could ride. gonna miss that for sure. and we would only see another boat like once an hour.

and after a week of every family member calling audrey before we left scareing her about gators, when in lousinana on the way to the river we stoped to take these pics to send to them Laughing

and after ALL that hype, we never saw a SINGLE gator in alabama, mississippi, or lousinana. not one. once back in texas we stoped on our way home at the tyler zoo and got our only gator shots Very Happy

thanks eric! yeah he did that alot. ollieing over jaged 4-5" branches. caught him once doing them back to back with 180s i believe. will of course be in the main film.

Wow your lucky to be able to get to do that.
Wakeboarding and filming are also my 2 favorite things only thing is im only 17 and still in highschool and can only HS w2w wakeboarding so far. I want to be able to film some wakeboard movies later on down the road...
btw, what editing software do you use?

final version is finished! this is the full length 10 minute laid back slow mo version. long but erics set at the end is worth the watch.
working on a shorter rock remix that will be alot more upbeat and high energy.

may play glitchy on some computers, its a HUGE HD file. turning HD off may help. but still may play glitchy.
