No.

Do a search on jumping or w2w. You will get results for more threads than you can ask for. Read through them and keep riding.

you should NOT be ollieing off the wake for a simple W2W jump. Whoever is telling you to ollie is simply not doing it right. My buddie tries to jump/ollie off the wake too and every single jump ends up the same. He does a 1/4 roll in the air or goes into raley position on a 1 wake jump and faceplants consistantly.

If he does manage to land a jump, it's super sketchy or he catches an edge right after and faceplants again.

lol, I do believe I have some on a camera. I should put it on youtube as a "how NOT to jump a wakeboard" video.

It is really funny, He usually only gets 2 or 3 jump attempts in then he's done for the day. Not matter how much I tell him to just hold his edge through the wake and not absord he he just keeps on trying to jump. After work today I'll search my cameras and find some video.

Just edge out alitte ways, when you come off your edge, stop and relax and wait for the slack to come out of the line.. Once that happens start to edge slightly towards the wake making it harder as you approach it.. Once you get about 10 feet away from the wake, this is when you really need to start laying it on your edge, once you get to the base of the wake start to extend your legs, DO NOT JUMP, just extend your legs as if you were squatting... If you did it right, you will get some air time.. Once your up there look at the water to spot your landing, that helps alot... Keep your board straight in the air and land it and ride away.... Good Luck..

And no, do not speed the boat up as you approach the wake... if anything slow the boat down alitte once you get outside the wake so the faceplants dont hurt as bad Smile
