Hello,

I dabble in wakeboarding, but my bindings pretty much suck. I think they're Liquid Force Transit, and they hurt the bottom of my feet if I ride for a while. Maybe they're too small?? I dunno, they feel like they fit pretty well. Do they make bindings with softer foam?

I like to jump, I can go wake-to-wake, and I can do front 180s in the air, so maybe my bindings aren't meant for that?

The shop that I snowboard for also conveniently sells wakeboard stuff in the summer, and I saw these LF Melissa bindings.... ooooooh I love the lights... hahahahaha. I can get a good deal on them, but what's the difference between the open toes and closed toes?? And would these bindings be ideal for me? I ride a LF Angel 131 (but want something with more pop...that will come later)

Also, I am a size 6 1/2 to 7 womens (I wear 6.5 consistently in Vans shoes and my snowboard boots are also 6.5), the bindings the shop has are 5-7, would that be okay for me?

Thanks and any help is much appreciated! Very Happy

My friend has the Melissa bindings and loves them, especially with the wrap around top. The Wing bindings are also very good. I used to have the Alloys - loved them!

You can get away a bit more on the sizing with open toe bindings, but if you're going for closed toe, you don't want anything more than a half or one size bigger than your shoe size really.

I use the Ronix, FHL closed toe bindings and love them, you get a lot more response from closed toe bindings that's for sure.

The thing you have to remember with closed toe bindings, is that because the fit is a bit more 'snug' you're not going to come out of them in a hurry, whereas open toes release more easily.
