Im 25 and earlier this season I could not even ride 2 days in a row. I had about 3-5 sets the first day and I only made it through about a half set the second day. I was also hungover and working on about 5 hours of sleep, but I can sympathize with what you are going through. I also wrecked hard numerous times the first day trying new tricks.
I think a number of factors can determine how many days you can go in a row; amount of stress from the week, amount of sleep is a key factor, physical condition, and amount of hard spills the previous days.
I rode 3 days in a row this weekend 2 sets each day and I feel great. I was even out all night last night, up until 4 am and then on the water by 830 am this morning. I think some days you feel it and others you dont. |

29!!!! OH shut the heck up! I'm mid-30's, everyone has their off days, but I can never ride with a hangover, it kills me and is a waste of time.
I rode two long sets Saturday and was jumping, jumping, jumping - feeling it now though and my knee is not happy in the slightest - boooo

yea, im 29 too... 195lbs and two knee surgeries... so riding is a workout for me and ibuprofen is usually needed a couple hours afterwards.
I rode 3 sets friday afternoon and three sets yesterday morning... and I was a complete waste all day saturday and for the rest of the day yesterday...
I will say that the more I ride the easier (physicaly) it gets... When I get to go out twice a week it makes riding so much more effortless... and, as a result, more fun... get out there more often and your body will adapt for endurance. _________________ When life hands you a Jeffrey just rub the furry walls... |

At 38 I can ride two days in a row and that's about it. Might be easier if I wasn't the only boat in the group. Which I trailer, clean, run all the sacs, and maintain on top of all the riding. _________________ WakeSurf and Wakesurfing News |

LMAO.....Me too
At 40 I can do 3 days in a row. I'll pull 2-3 sets in the morning, 1-2 in the afternoon if the water is nice, then another 2-3 sets in the evening. On my Birthday I'll do 7-10 days in a row, and ride everyday. I think I get more worn out/stressed dealing with the boat and all the gear then I do riding. _________________

Boy I must need a walker, At almost 43 I am new to wakeboarding, been skiing for the past 30+ years and have just went 4 days in a row and would go again tomorrow but have to go to work. I can tell you that I really like how much less stress riding a wakeboard puts on the old body compared to riding a slalom although the face plants are a lot more violent, I a hoping they become frequent less as I get better |

I'll be 45 next month and plan on riding at least another 10 years. Granted, I usually don't get more than 2 days out each week, but I enjoy it every time, and my recovery is usually just 2 ibuprofen before bed.

I think it also depends if you over work your body. I have a strict gym schedule that I keep up with because I have a side hobby of body building AND 2 days a week I'm in a Muay Thai class. Thats 5 days I'm committing to working out without even talking about wakeboarding.
My left forearm has been sore/tight for 1.5 months and I'm pretty sure if I don't start finding some stretches I'm going to snap a tendon or something. I've actually started riding switch much more often just to try to reduce the strain on the arm.
Other things like ab muscles have destroyed me in the past and prevented day after day sets. Take a couple bad HS wrecks and you're abs are going to be torn apart regardless of how much muscle you have there.
Even how you ride will dictate if you can go the next day. I used to take marathon sets because I loved wakeboarding so much they couldn't get me off the water. I'd be out for an hour at a time until I was so tired I couldn't do anything. I now realize I can board 2 days in a row if I just take multiple smaller sets, (get in take a 15 min set and get out, let others ride, then take another 15 min set and call it a day) _________________ Today is a chance to become a greater person than the person we were the day before. |
