Im just getting back into watersports and looking to buy a good wakeboard. I am leaning toward the CWB kink with vapors for a moderately priced entry board, but the more I read it seems most people like LF boards better. Any opinions or suggestions out there? I would like to stay under $400.
A little info about me: I just got a boat again after 8 years out of it. I have never been on a real wakeboard but I think i will progress rather quickly. From 10 to 24 I was a good skateboarder (street and vert), snowboarder and snow skier. I was exceptional at any thing behind a boat. I could do almost anything on waterskis. On a slalom I can go wake to wake easily with 2' of air, ski backwards and also pulled off a 360 helicopter a few times just before we sold the boat. I even slalomed on a canoe oar once for a bet. Rode the original "scurfers" and had Connelly's first "wakeboard" ( giant red POS).
Sorry, I dont mean to sound like a pompous jerk but I figured this background info would be helpful in choosing the right set up.
I'm 33 now at 6 feet and 175 lbs. Just put my 08' MB 52 in the water 2 weeks ago and started skiing again. The water at this lake does tend to be choppy at times. I could use some help/advice on the right equipment for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Also...anyone from north west indiana on here? I could use some one to ride with since my wife and friends arent big watersports people.
I learned on a rode a CWB PURE and I loved the board. Just recently got a Ronix board though. I liked the pure but I want to see difference in brands and whatever.
