Hello everyone. A couple of weeks ago I made the mistake of trying to wakeboard. Now I am hooked. I've only mastered two tricks so far, the butt plant, and the face plant. Here's the deal tho. I want to get my own board. I've been attempting to ride a CWB Faction, which is okay. I've pretty much settled on the Ronix Kai's for bindings.
Choices for boards are Company Recruit, Ronix One, or Liquid Force Witness.
Like the Company Recruit for the flex qualities, that it has 6 fins, is lightweight, and supposedly handles chop well.
Like the Ronix One because it is supposed to be very locked in on edge, and is pretty.
Like the Liquid Force Witness because it is supposed to be a good all around board, and it is cheap.
If it matters on suggestions I am 6' 165 lbs, but am pretty sure I can figure out the correct size board with all the reading and obsessing I've been doing since I first started.
Help me please. Oh and btw I can edge heel side but my little piggies are not cooperating with me yet to turn the other way. I am also goofy footed, and usually ride in a lot of chop. |

Don't know about the recruit handling chop that well, it's a flat featureless bottom, usually boards with spines tend to behave a little better in choppy water.
The one and Witness are two of my favorite boards of all time. Both pop very hard and smooth, the witness being the smoother of the two, the one a bit more abrupt. The one is way more locked in than the withness, the wintess is actually surprisingly loose for how large the fins are on it, and it takes a little adjusting to get used to how it turns in. It slips unttil you are full on edge then locks in once you're on edge. It releases very well for spins off the wake, so you can spin a little earlier on it. The landings are a little less stressful on the one than the witness, the one lands with more speed, whereas the witness drags a little when it hits.
As far as the recruit, I still feel like flex is counterproductive for boat riding, so i can't give you any good advice on that topic. _________________

| Thanks for the reply. That seems like some sound advice. I will go with the Ronix One. I've read that it a slower board but I prefer stability over speed. I'm more interested in edging than surface tricks. |

I just bought the Ronix Mana and the Ronix Kai bindings. At first I wasn't used to the 6 fins but they make the board really stable. _________________ Wake Up and Wake It up |

I have the recruit and I think its an awesome board for the boat. Speedy, lots and lots of pop and nice soft landings. I'm coming from a Ronix Covin and there isn't anythign about the Company I don't like. _________________ 2010 Watson Hybrid
