| I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who provided tips and hints in my previous post about getting up. I did some dry runs on the grass with a friend pulling the rope for me. This REALLY helped when I got in the water. I got up first shot today and then a couple times after that. I am so excited. I did some heel to toe turns unside the wake just to get a feel for it. Not having a fin it was a little squirrly at times but I prefer to learn the harder way...it makes me work harder. It definitly works some muscles that I havent used in a long time. Tomorrow I might try venturing outside the wake. I am just so happy! Thanks again everyone! |

qballjr13, awesome to hear! I think the most frustrating part of learning to ride is getting up. Learning the other stuff, at least you are riding and trying it. Failing at getting up is just frustration and tiring alltogether.
Glad to hear you made it, now ride your @$$ off! _________________

Congrats! I would second what pet575 said. Go out there and enjoy it now, learning and progressing. Oh and don't get too cocky about getting up, every now and again you'll lean too far forward and not get up. Still happens to me every once in a while...LOL! _________________ If love is blind, why is lingerie so popular? |

| No cockiness here Okie. Getting up the third time took me three tries. Everyday is a step in the right direction. I am just happy to be out there having some fun. But I couldnt have gotten this far without this forum so I wanted to make sure a big thank you was sent out to everyone who replied to my thread. |
