I can go w2w, ride switch, w2w 180, most of the basic surface tricks, indy, nail/tose grab.
I am now working on 360s but getting kind of frustrated, am i ready to try to learn how to backroll during the stage i'm in right now?

im gonna follow that, try and do it with the least pain possible =)
P.S. the w2w im currently doing is with a shortened rope, should i w2w on a longer rope before or does it not really matter?
P.P.S. Is the backroll a good first invert? or should i try something easier? |

If you are already getting pretty close to landing a 3 I would do that first just because you will have to go back and learn them any way. Then get your toeside w2w down. Then go for the backroll if you want. It's different for every one though. Some people can do backrolls easier, some can do tantrums easier. So try both and see what you think. But it really helps to set a solid foundation and have your toeside and heelside w2w down really good.
And rope length shouldn't really matter much, ride where the wake is nicest behind your boat at whatever length and speed that should be. |

yeah i just ride with a shorter rope to avoid the really hard landings since i usually land RIGHT before the 2nd wake which was making me very hesitant. also, i dont want to skip 3's completely i just dont want to get frustrated trying one thing over and over again.
thanks. |
