|
|
Hello everybody. First thanks for taking the time to read my question.
-I am new (last year) to wakeboarding, but I've been skiing all of my life. I am 24 yrs old, and I weigh 245. I love wakeboarding now, and I'd love to do wake to wakes, I would love to work getting higher with my jumps.
-I am currently using a Hyperlight Tribute 142. I enjoy it, but I feel like I land hard, my ankles and knees take a punishment for me being a fatty-Mcfatty.
-I am looking to upgrade to a better board with a softer landing. Price is no constraint for me, because I enjoy the sport.
Last week I was out on a friend's CWB Transcend (142?), and it was amazing, with a great soft landing (from what I am used to). It tracked/cut well and I was impressed with it.
Any other suggestions, or should I go with the Transcend?
thanks again!
PS -- I am stuck in Small Town, USA, so I am no where near a board shop to do any Demo work |

| Liquid Force has a great line of boards that you should look into. I just got an 09 LF Watson and I love it. Has amazing pop, good speed, and soft landings. |

for some reaon I have been under the impression that Liquid Force is like a Wal-Mart brand in the wakeboard world. I am probably wrong and thinking of a different brand. I have never rode one thats for sure!
Any other suggestions for super soft landings? |

Liquid Force is a premium brand, one of the best Might be thinking of hydro slide or body glove.
I'm a heavier guy (225-230 not fat though) and I ride a 141 premier. While I do like the ride just fine I did get a chance to ride a Murray 145 last year. I'm not sure if it was the bigger board, or different shape, but that deck rode much better for me.
However, I wouldn't recommend the Murray for a beginner, not forgiving at all. I would look at decks in the 144-146 range at your size. _________________

I am about your size and love my Ronix One (142). Good luck with your decision and whatever you do, get some good gear. I bought an Obrien store line board at the local sporting goods store last season and it is amazing what a little quality will do for your riding.

The LF lyman AND Shane both have pretty soft landings. Get the 143 / 142 respectively. I personally prefer the ride characteristics of the Shane _________________ Today is a chance to become a greater person than the person we were the day before. |

the first day out with it was a little sketchy, but now i love it. butter soft landings if you dont land with stiff legs, and a super high boot off the wake. _________________ trying to find a $5-7K usable saltare if anyone knows of one. |
