I've had 3 sets on them and the handle on the back ripped out on a bad spill this weekend. I think it stretched the material when my foot pulled out and busted the seam. They had damn well better replace them. I've had them for about a month now but it's been too miserable to get any use.
BTW, I know I'm gonna get flamed for having obrien bindings, but they fit my feet nicely and fell comfy for me. Plus I didn't wanna spend $400 on a pair of ronix bindings... |

Enygma, i know you dont want to get flammed about having obrien bindings. But you do get what you pay for. I know that your bindings still shouldnt be breaking this early and that its a freak accident so Obrien should definetly replace them.
I've had this happen before, just call them up and they should replace them because they will want to keep you as a customer. _________________ 93 four winns

I didn't have my radons or w/e they were called very long either before I went to tighten them one day and the laces literally ripped the eyehooks right off the bindings. They were ranked pretty high up there for ease of "replaceability". _________________ Today is a chance to become a greater person than the person we were the day before. |

Yeah, I took them back to the shop today and they replaced them without any issues. And the binding were still 250. they weren't a cheap set of obriens. And they fit me better then a lot of the other brands I tried on, I only really liked Ronix better and they were $400. Seeing as how I'm only just getting into the sport I wanted to keep the price range reasonable.
Also I have a set of dirt cheap costco/wallmart binding that have been used a whole season by like 10 different people and they're showing no signs of wear at all. In this case I dont think it has much to do with getting what I paid for... |

| Your buying Obrien bindings, so yeah you get what you pay for. Even if you paid $500 for them their still Obriens. If you can buy them from Big 5 Sporting goods, they probably aren't a good brand. |

And as I said I have a set of hobie bindings that have not ripped at all....They were included on a board for $100.
Being a low line brand or not, they're still a brand name and shouldn't rip after 3 sets. Also, I only have 2 shops in town that even sell wake gear, we don't even have an actual lake where I live. They're all slews and irrigation water. Nice brand wakeboard gear is crazy expensive and any of the nicer brands don't ship to Canada out of the states. Ronix and Liquid Force for example. |

Enygma, How close to the border do you live? There are places you can have stuff shipped to on this side, then pick it up. I know if I could get a $800 set up for $400 then spend $100 in gas to go get it, I'd do it. Or if you have a friend on this side, just have it shipped there, then have them ship it on to you. The only problem with doing it that way is return issues if something is wrong with the order. Have the person that gets it visibly check the order to make sure it's what you ordered. There are post's all over the snowboarding forums about this, thought I would pass it on. _________________
