for a beginner would it be better to take the "fins" off or leave them on, last year did my fair share of "faceplants" but this year doing much better and starting to step outside my comfort zone.

for a beginer, i would leave the fins on. they help in tracking and carving. they make the board more stable.

Great advice kartman..thats exactly the results I got...I was not able to get to the computer till this morning so had no idea what to expect, I removed the fins and the board was still rideable but for a less expierienced rider it was a little "skatey" so i quickly put them back on
