we average between 40-50. The 'bu is about to hit 100 and every single hour has been awesome. We really only use it every weekend/ every other weekend through the summer. _________________ Wake Forest University |

we put about a hundred on my buddy's boat last year, have put about 20 on mine so far this year but have only had it for a few weeks, i would say about 6-8/week is normal for two weekend days and an afternoon or two of riding, we start in March/April and end about the end of DST in the fall _________________ Lithic, LLC, my biz

savage3221, holy man that's awesome!
Last year I didn't have a dry suit so I think I put on about 80-90 and i was riding absolutely as often as weather and spotters permitted. This year with the dry suit I think I'm going to be able to break 120
Perhaps an aside question, what are the most hours you've seen on a boat? _________________ Today is a chance to become a greater person than the person we were the day before. |

Usually ~80 hours, I did 142 in 2005.
I think I barely broke 50 last year. _________________ wakeboards

got a little over 800 on my 2003 SANTE, i assume as long as i take care of it and keep the fluids fresh it will last me well over a thousand, don't the wake schools in FL put a couple thousand hours on their boats before they sell them? _________________ Lithic, LLC, my biz

Last year i did 125hrs on my boat.
this season, a month in i have done approx 16 hrs. the weather has been real bad in denmark, so not as much riding.
My boat has a little over 2500 hours total. beat that. It is a ski nautigue from 2000. just take care of them, and it runs without problems.
bought it of a waterski club. where it racked up approx 300 hrs pr season. but always maintained. |

Nice 2500 is the highest I've heard. I've heard around 2000 before but I'm glad to hear some people have more When you estimate how much use is really on the engine, it's hard to believe people don't have boats with a TON more hours on them (at least some of the older boats). I'm going to end up buying my last boat in about 6 years. When I do I bet I'll be able to get a good 3000 on before I'm done with it _________________ Today is a chance to become a greater person than the person we were the day before. |

Yeah just service the boat / engine regular, and fix things when you find them instead of putting it off.
The engine runs without a hitch. the problems i do encounter is mostly electrical, wire-ring, bad connections etc. but not something that can not be fixed really easy.
Major reason why people don´t hit high hours:
1: they dont use the boat enough dooohh ' '
2: its better to sail a lot in a boat and use it rather than let it sit for 3 - 4 weeks between sessions. the tend to break with lower hours if the don´t get used as often.
3: Some people tend to sail in the boats until something fails, instead of replacing parts before they fail.
I always start up the engine at least 2 times a week if i am not using it due to bad weather. if the weather is good, it is being used everyday.
I plan to have this boat a least another 2-3 seasons. so it will most likely have close to 3000 hours on it when i sell it. |

The hour meter on mine has been stuck at 918 hours since I bought it 6 years ago lol. A conservative estimate would be 150+ hours a season. It still runs like a top, and I've only had a few things go wrong over the years. I've replaced the starter, trim sending unit, and I'm having the alternator rebuilt right now. I always have all the fluids changed at the beginning of the season and about halfway through. Replaced the belts, plugs and plug wires 2 years ago, probably about time to do this again. _________________

My last boat didn't have a meter, so i don't have a good yearly average yet.
We just bought this boat in March though, and I've already got over 20 hours on it. We're a little over 1/2 hour from the lake and just go on weekends...Can't believe I've become a weekend warrior... _________________ lovin' life! |

I put nearly 70 hours on it when my boat was brand new, but we spend a lot of the day just hanging out and swimming, drinking, listening to music, etc. And, I'm really the only rider so we probably spend more time cruising than I do riding. The next year it was more like 20 (the year of $4.50+ gas prices), then the year after that it was like 35. My son is 4 now, and wants to learn to ride and/or ski, so I think that number will probably be going up some. _________________

How are you liking that A22 if you dont mind my asking. Maybe PM me and let me know what options you got and if you're willing to share how much it cost you? I'm considering buying on in a few years. Ok more like 5 years, but I can't stop myself from looking at boats _________________ Today is a chance to become a greater person than the person we were the day before. |

In my younger days before a 50hr a week job I would easily put 100-150 hours a season on my boat. Now I'm lucky if I put 25hrs a season on the boat . Getting old sucks. _________________ Does this rag smell like chloroform?

Yeah i like the Axis A22 as well, i would consider buying one, to bad they do not have any dealers in europe.
I don`t want the hassle of buying / importing a boat from the US / outside of the EU with customs etc. its a bitch. |

Wow ... you all put on a lot more hours that we do. We've been averaging 15 per year for the past 4. Hopefully that will change this year. We just got our new boat (another Axis A22) last week, and already have put almost three hours on during a rainy and cold weekend. |

LOL, I think we just put close to what you put in a year on last weekend Joe lol...I checked the hour meter and we are up to 62 now haha...I'm sure with the Axis you will start running hours on it quick. Its a different world than the I/O for sure. Congrats again Joe! _________________ How much work would a network work if a network could network? |
