my pull is a 15 foot whaler with a 60 hp motor and a modified v hull. usually when i wake jump i get across the wake which is about 5 1/2 feet across and about 3 1/2 feet high. i trim the engline all the way up and go about 21 mph. we have a pylon that is about level with my hands ant the rope when im riding. idk if i should sandbags or sumthin in the boat or keep more of the bow in the water or put all of the weight in the back, so i need some help. what should i do? |

imo trying to make that wake bigger is the wrong thing to do. you have a 60hp motor, any weight that you add will just lug the boat down alot. i had a 85hp motor on my 15.5', and when i added ballast to it it wouldnt plane out. just work on your fundamentals. save up some money, and when you can good 17' boats with the 3.0 can be had on the cheep. .02 _________________ trying to find a $5-7K usable saltare if anyone knows of one. |

I'm not sure what you could all do with the boat you've got. Usually more weight = bigger wake. Pylons, lines, handles, they aren't really going to help you get higher. I mostly agree with kartman, work on what you can with the boat you've got. Get your w2w in regular and switch, hs and TS. Get your 180s down all 4 ways. I've been riding a long time and still don't have those locked down.
Did you know you can typically find really nice DD wakeboard boats for under 10k? It might be out of your league currently but almost anyone that can afford a boat can afford 10k (at least eventually if you save up). Check out the budget wakeboat sticky for what to look for. _________________ Today is a chance to become a greater person than the person we were the day before. |

Wakeboarder3780, I'm not gonna be able to buy a 1. Wakeboard only boat and 2. An old used (good enough to ride with) boat for a couple of years because of my brother and I can't my decisions based on only what I want. The ony thing I could do now is upgrade to a bigger fishing boat with a pylon on it... |

branch out and ride with some other people. Try and find some riders in your area and pay for gas money. _________________ Wakeskating
