Well... I finally went for it... And was pleased with the results.. However, I still think I have alot of work to do. I tried it this past weekend on 2 different sets. The first ones, I came pretty close on, 3/4's Id say.. but man, on the second ones, I couldnt even come close. I couldnt get past the tanny to blind. I had way to much line tension. But looking at the vid we took, I think I see what I was doing different. I wasnt keeping my arm in near as much on takeoff.. So hopefully that will help me out on it. If anyone has any input Id be happy to hear it.. I almost feel as if I would have just hung onto the rope on the the second attempt in the vid, I might could have pulled it off..
2nd one was pretty close, I think you're still carrying too much tension though. Try taking it even harder straight up as it feels like you're still taking it out a bit too far.
One thing that *used* to help me initiate the spin was leaning into the boat with my body, almost like a half front flip. It starts you out pretty tucked and tight from the get go so you have less of a chance to have that arm get hung up.
Looks like you'll get it pretty soon, just make sure and not let it get away when you do haha.
I have been wanting to try this since I landed my first tatrum the other week. I can throw them on the tramp no problem, so I've seriously been considering trying it soon.
I say cheat. Have your boat driver turn in the direction you are going (which would be Right in this case) right before you hit the wake. This will ease the line tension and could help you land the trick. Once you dial it up with the turn, then you can go back to trying it straight up.

wait a little longer for the pop and hold on longer as soon as you let go of the rope you can see that your rotation stops itself. Thanks for puttin it in slow mode made it alot easier to see. _________________ Random Acts Of Dumbness Will Always Be Rewarded.
flyhigh, sick man! I started working on 'em in '07 and got pretty close but haven't attempted one since. What did you do that made them come around for you? I had the same problem. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone.
Wakebrad, Honestly man, I think it was just hitting it a little harder, switching my edge a little harder, and most importantly, holding onto the handle till the end... I took a couple pretty good falls prior to this, but nothing too bad _________________ www.blackwaterrydas.com
IceMountian, Thanks man... that one was a cannon 5d mark ii.. but did kind of a chopped down version of the editing.. It can be super clean! _________________ www.blackwaterrydas.com
